In back-to-back series, Ellsworth Community College faced two of the four ranked ICCAC squads and all on the road.

Sunday the Panthers (16-14, 2-6) traveled to No. 4 Kirkwood Community College and followed that up with a trip to ninth-ranked DMACC on Tuesday.

The Bears recorded a pair of five inning wins at ECC's expense, 10-1 and 15-2.

DMACC all but shut the visitors down in the opener. Two hurlers combined to allow two hits and nine strikeouts. Offensively, the Bears had seven extra base hits including two doubles from former East Marshall standout Morgan Neuroth.

DMACC smacked the ball around in game two with 15 hits, including a double and a dinger. The Panther defense struggled and made four errors in the field. Taking the loss was Jolene Jordahl, who threw 2.1 innings and gave up 13 hits and 14 runs (10 earned). She walked one and fanned two. Peytin Clemensen came in for the final 1.2 innings and gave up two hits, one run and walked one.

The Bears used two pitchers and allowed four hits and struck out seven. All four knocks were singles by Ella Garstang, Jordahl, Emmalee Bell and Hailey Sheaffer. Jordahl and Sheaffer recorded RBIs in the 15-2 loss.

ECC is scheduled to host Northeast in a doubleheader on Saturday for their home opener.
