Fourth-ranked Ellsworth Community College was looking to get revenge on the No. 10 Iowa Central Community College. The Tritons won the first meeting in Dittmer Gymnasium and completed the season sweep with the 83-74 final on Wednesday night.

With 12:32 left in the first half, Iowa Central was out to a 15-5 lead before the visitors went on a run of their own. Trailing by eight, Collins Ngondu hit a triple to cut the deficit to five (26-21) and the Panthers called a timeout. Tanner Berggren drained both of his long balls of the contest and ECC went on a 12-0 run to carry a 33-28 lead going into the half.

The first tie of the second half was 33-all before the Tritons took the one point lead on a basket and free throw (36-35). Down by as many as eight, the Panthers responded once again, this time with a triple from Jayden Pretty and a make from beyond the arc by Eesher Singh Sarai cut the difference to two. The two went back and forth and Pretty's second long ball made it a 52-50 contest with 13:02 left.

ECC took a 57-56 lead when Singh Sarai was left wide open for a triple, but it was short lived. The Tritons went on their own scoring spree, 9-2, to flip the advantage and lead 65-59. The largest difference in the second half was nine. While the Panthers cut into the deficit, Iowa Central would respond with a basket of their own to keep the visitors from going on top the rest of the contest.

Singh Sarai led all scoring with 20 points and Ngondu had a season-high 13 points.
