Ellsworth Community College hosted its annual Dale Howard Classic and improved to 7-0 on the season with an 116-75 win against Jefferson College and 78-64 over John Wood Community College.

In Saturday's contest, the Panthers were on top 45-32 heading into the half. John Wood hung around in the second half, but could never fully cut into the deficit.

ECC (7-0) nabbed nine more rebounds, finishing the game with 45. Eesher Singh Sarai tallied a double-double with 11 rebounds and 10 points. Four others were in double figures, led by Alex Charlotin with 19 points. Jonovan Wilkinson (12), Will Taylor (11) and Rav Randhawa (10) were also in double figures.

Neither team could find the three ball, with both making just four. The Panthers got to the line and were 22 of 40 while the Blazers made just six of 13.

Friday night ECC hosted Jefferson College (1-4) and built a 20-point lead through the first half (49-29). The second 20 minutes was just as lopsided as the hosts pulled away for a 41-point dismantling.

The hosts shot lights out from the floor, making 56.3 percent of their shots and draining eight three-pointers. All 14 Panthers that played scored and five were in double figures. Charlotin once again came in off the bench and paced ECC with 17 points and Randhawa added 15. Dan Pembele nearly had a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds. Wilkinson and Berggren each added 12.
