Coach Ben Wilmes joins ECC for his first season with an energy and passion that promises to elevate the program. A four-year starter at the University of Iowa, Wilmes showcased rare versatility by playing all but two positions and earning Third Team All–Big Ten honors his senior year. He graduated with a degree in Sports and Recreation Management and has continued to fuel his love for the game through coaching with the Iowa Sticks—the same travel program where he grew up competing. With his high-level playing experience, dynamic coaching style, and deep commitment to player development, Coach Wilmes is ready to make an exciting impact at ECC.
